Headaches & migraines

Head pain that keeps coming back, with no clear reason why.

The scan was clear. The tablets take the edge off but never the cause. You've started planning around the next one — avoiding triggers, bracing for the afternoon. We'd rather find the physical pattern that keeps generating the pain, often in the neck, jaw and base of the skull, and settle it.

What's actually happening

Most headaches start below the head.

A large share of recurring headaches are referred — felt in the head, but generated by tension in the upper neck, the jaw, and the suboccipital muscles at the base of the skull. When these stay tight, they irritate the nerves that supply the head.

Add an overactive stress response — shallow breathing, a clenched jaw, shoulders held high — and the system stays primed to produce pain. Treating only the head misses where it begins. We work the whole chain.

“I'd had headaches for fifteen years. For the first time, someone explained the why — and then actually changed it.”

Let’s find where your headaches begin.

Begin with an unhurried conversation about what's been happening, and what we can do about it.
